Good Food Jobs is a gastro-job search tool, designed to link people looking for meaningful food work with the businesses that need their energy, enthusiasm, and intellect. We post opportunities with farmers and food artisans, policy makers and purveyors, retailers and restaurateurs, economists, ecologists, and more.
ON THE WEB
Our job search engine is a work in progress. Check out these and other web developments on goodfoodjobs.com :
Now we're cooking with fire!
The server migration is complete. We have noticed a few glitches, namely
1) The email alerts are wonky! We apologize for any frustration or inconvenience. The problem should have righted itself by the time you read this, and we appreciate your patience.
2) For job posters, we are sorry for the temporary '502 Bad Gateway' error you may have seen at checkout. This should no longer be in your way, but please don't hesitate to get in touch if you find this or any other bug in the system.
Also, some of you may have noticed our revamped search engine. For now the main improvements are: faster / smoother results and predictive text. But stay tuned for some more changes coming soon, including ability to search by zip code, and enhanced filtering options.
Last but not least, we are also in the throes of testing the new mobile site pages. We hope to share them with you in the next week or two.
Do you have a recommendation? Constructive criticism? Or have you noticed a glitch? Let us know. And stay tuned for more updates. We're always scheming.

Thanks to the success of our first GFJ INSTAGRAM CHALLENGE we're coming back for more!
We can't help but be inspired by all that's springing up at the farmers' markets this past week, even way up north. Since you're probably already snapping pictures of the bounty (and what you're doing with it in your kitchen), we figured you may as well have the chance to win an awesome prize (more on that below) for your troubles. Tag your photos with #farmfreshgfj and use it as an excuse to cruise farmers' markets far and wide, or pay a visit to a pick-your-own operation. Tell us a story through the images of the people, products, and purveyors of farm fresh food.
HOW TO ENTER
Upload your Instagram photo (you can share as many as you like) with @goodfoodjobs and the hashtag #farmfreshGFJ by 8am on Tuesday, June 25th. The submission with the most likes on Instagram (psst! That means you should tell your friends!) will be published in our newsletter that day and on our home page at goodfoodjobs.com. The winner will receive a truly one-of-kind GFJ tote bag (made to last by L.L.Bean), perfect for hauling fresh produce, among other things. You'll even get to choose your own strap color. What are you waiting for?
And in case you're already wondering 'what's next?' we have an answer for you: we'll be launching a July GFJ Instagram Challenge based on your gardening endeavors. So whether you have pastures to sow or a teeny tiny windowbox going to waste, it's time to start planting. We'll reveal the details, including a green-thumb-friendly prize, in a few weeks.
Go farm fresh,
Taylor & Dorothy
