Communications Coordinator

Highfields Center for Composting has an exciting opportunity open for a dynamic, creative and ambitious “Rot Star.”  If you care about soil, food, building resilient communities and strong local economies, this is your chance to use your creativity, communications, marketing and sales skills to make the world a better place!  This position will advance the mission and programs of Highfields Center for Composting, including our dynamic Close the Loop! Vermont Campaign and our Compost Research, Education and Production Site, through strategic and creative marketing and communications.  

Skills Required
Superior written, verbal and visual communication skills.  Excellent writing and editing skills. Proven ability to manage projects and small teams. Success with pitching media stories to editors and maintaining ongoing connections with press. Experience with social media, websites, blogging and e-mail marketing.  Experience marketing and selling products and services and fundraising.  Strong interpersonal skills. Comfortable speaking with groups. Skilled with Apple computers, Microsoft Office suite. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Salesforce software a plus.
