YOU MUST EXPECT GREAT THINGS OF YOURSELF . . . before you can do them.
We live in a world that is desperately in need of people who are willing to do things differently. As we walk around, we see so many systems in place. Many of them have served a purpose, but we can't help but say to ourselves several times a day, 'There's got to be a better way'.
When you're at a loss for what to do, just look around. There are contributions to be made all over. But you must expect great things of yourself before you can do them.
The hardest thing to do is believe that you have the power to make change. But it is all you have. Make good use of it.
If you are looking to find your way, here is something that may help you.
Cheers,
Taylor & Dorothy

details / GFJ + ECOPRACTIUM Everything But the Kitchen:
A Comprehensive Engagement with the Regional Food System
Thursday September 17th - Sunday September 20th
Camp Shomria, Liberty NY (Catskills)
We are all here because food is the lens through which we view the world. We know that it touches everything we do in our days. In this program we'll explore the less-obvious (but equally important) facets of our food system - renewable energy, water quality, seed saving, waste water, and composting. And prove that food contributes to various parts of our culture, and there are ways to make a difference all over.
Expect to:
Go on an edible hike, gathering the bounty
of food that is all around you
Learn about seed saving, soil health,
and homesteading
Discover how food 'waste' becomes
coveted compost
Learn about animal power, human power, and solar power
that go into making a sustainable small farm
Build a rainwater catchment system and the
intricacies of water management
Spend several days with like minded food lovers and
find you place in the food system
accommodations / We're keeping it rustic. Join us at Camp Shomria in Liberty, NY (the Catskills): shared cabins (w/ electricity), central bathroom and shower facility, open fires allowed and encouraged.
