Good Food Jobs is a gastro-job search tool, designed to link people looking for meaningful food work with the businesses that need their energy, enthusiasm, and intellect. We post opportunities with farmers and food artisans, policy makers and purveyors, retailers and restaurateurs, economists, ecologists, and more.
the gastrognomes is a blog for food lovers who want to put their passions to work. We profile the most interesting, engaging, and unlikely food professionals that we find, and we publish them here to inspire you.

GROWING PAINS
Cue Growing Pains theme song, and Kirk Cameron's 80's frizzy mullet.
In comparison, our growing pains aren't that bad.
But we do feel that we owe you an apology. A few weeks ago we implemented a new search filter, for all of those who despised wading through unpaid opportunities whilst searching for a paid position.
But we've been experiencing difficulties, as the site has automatically marked every opportunity as paid (wouldn't that be nice?) whether the job poster designated it as such or not.
We're working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible, but please be warned that some opportunities may be incorrectly categorized. We hope that you won't take it out on the job posters, and that you'll forgive us as we continue to make the site more user friendly.
Cheers,
Taylor & Dorothy

THE GASTRO.GNOMES BLOG
Kelly Carámbula
Founder / Designer / Publisher
Remedy Quarterly
Do you remember the story about the Princess and the Pea? In the end, that one wasn't really about food, but its protagonist is someone that those of us who started out as picky eaters can relate to. I for one will never forget the extreme sensitivity I felt about, for example, the crusts on my peanut butter and jelly sandwich. The moral is that food creates powerful memories, whether the endings are happy or sad, and Kelly knows that better than anyone as a fully reformed P.E. (Picky Eater). Share your own stories with Kelly by contributing to her beautiful food magazine, Remedy Quarterly. Read More
