NICE THINGS PEOPLE SAY
It is nice to know there are people like you out there, facing the same struggles and conquering your fears. You are an inspiration!
- Sharon, GFJ Fan
You guys are already of great help in providing space for a community of food folk and wandering job seekers. I look forward to the weekly emails, checking on new job listings, and generally seeing how the field of good food work is broadening and defining itself.

IT GETS BETTER
The stories just keep coming in. We (selfishly) started Good Food Jobs so that we wouldn't feel alone in this idea that you can make the world a better place with good food. And we've had incredible interactions with all of you out there who write to express what a great resource / community we've helped to build. But this year our focus has been to connect all of you in a meaningful way. We had the Good Food Jobs Fair, we started the LIVE CHATS, and celebrated GFJ DAY, but the most surprising social experience we've had has also been the most meaningful: the 'Why I Cried' Project.
With each additional entry we feel more overcome by everyone's stories, tempted to shout out at the computer screen, 'I've been there' or 'I know how you feel' or - most often - 'i am so glad that I am not the only one'!
It's nice to know we're not alone. We hope you feel the same. Here's an excerpt from the latest story:
"Today I have a wonderful job at the intersection of conservation and agriculture, helping food systems support ecosystems in addition to feeding people. My socks are still stuffed in a pillowcase on a shelf and I won’t be buying a yacht anytime soon, but I get paid to play in the dirt, and on most days that’s enough." Read the full story.
It's not too late to share. Send us your story.
We look forward to hearing from you,
Taylor & Dorothy
