Company description LMNOP Bakery opened our first brick and mortar location in Katonah, New York in October 2022. We are a small but mighty team of artisan bakers and baristas nourishing our neighbors with quality coffee, breads, pastries, and sandwiches. We also offer craft beers and natural wines on tap. We work with regional producers and growers to find the freshest and most delicious ingredients for production. Job description

 

LMNOP Bakery is a small artisan bakery, specializing in organic, whole grain sourdough breads, pastries, and sandwiches. We source local and regional ingredients grown sustainably in the Northeast. We source and work with local roasters, growers, crafters, and makers in the greater Hudson Valley Region.
 

LMNOP is looking for an energetic, passionate, and responsible baker with experience, knowledge and skills in production baking, sourdough fermentation and lamination.

 

An LMNOP Lead Baker is responsible for oversee daily production operations of the bakery, supervising the team and ensuring products are made to the highest standards and that the team is working efficiently and effectively

 

 

Essential skills include

 

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Ability to spend long days on your feet
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Strong independent worker as well as with a team
  • Excellent communication with bake team/FOH/management
  • Adaptable to varying needs of production
  • Ability to be creative and efficient
  • Good work ethic
  • Maintain quality control, with attention to detail
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Comply with heath and safety standards
  • Awareness of time sensitive projects, and delivering for service on time
  • Food handlers license required, managers license preferred
  • Weekend/Holiday availability required

 

Daily tasks include:

  • scaling, mixing, shaping, doughs and batters
  • Baking breads and pastries to LMNOP standards
  • Finishing pastries efficiently as well as beautifully to standards
  • Working with assistant bakers, training new hires
  • Working closely with owner on production management and special event coordination
  • Comply with health and safety standards
  • Manage and maintain inventory
  • Knowledge of lamination a plus
  • Inventory management
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
