We are seeking an enthusiastic Sales Rep for our wines and ciders in the New York City area. The ideal candidate will be passionate about natural wine and is dynamic, creative, communicative, and willing to take on new challenges. 

Acting on their own initiative, this person is responsible for achieving company sales goals and maintaining strong retailer relationships and customer interactions within the local market. 

Our expectation is that this position will entail about 10 - 15 hours of work per week. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Represent Rose Hill Farm in the field while building relationships with both potential and existing accounts 

  • Sample prospective accounts, share the brand story, and close the deal 

  • Actively visit & manage existing accounts  

  • Provide ongoing exceptional customer service 

  • Educate retailer and customers on products 

  • Identify new locations of interest 

  • Conduct wine tastings, fund raisers, trade shows and other wine events for and with retailers 

  • Maintain detailed records of account leads, contacts, interactions, next steps, etc. 

REQUIREMENTS 
  • 3+ years combined experience in selling wines, building brands, and customer relations  

  • Experience in sales, hospitality, bars, restaurants, or retail 

  • Retailer relationship-building and management skills 

  • Passionate about natural wine and cider, and knowledgeable about the industry & local market 

  • Genuine and persuasive presence to influence decision-makers   

  • Excellent verbal and written communication 

  • Strong presentation, analytical, planning, organizational, merchandising, and negotiation skills   

  • Communicates, interacts, and works effectively alone and with others, is receptive to feedback and coaching, and voices concerns in a constructive manner. 

  • Comfortable making in-person sales calls in addition to cold-calling 

  • A competitive drive, a sense of urgency, and a strong determination to turn a lead into a sale 

  • Frequent travel (within city) for account meetings and events, must have scheduling flexibility 

  • This is a remote position that requires some working from home 

  • Reports directly to the Head Cidermaker.  

COMPENSATION 
  • $18/hr + Commission + New Account Bonus
