We are seeking someone to join our cheese shop team! We are a small but mighty mom and pop run cheese shop in North Charleston, SC. The shop is open Fridays and Saturdays from 11am-4pm. Thus far, owners Nora and Eric have been the only mongers working the counter- we are looking to add one more person to our crew! 

Job Requirements:

• Must be available Fridays and Saturdays (from about 10-5) and for additional days in the lead up to major cheese holidays (Thanksgiving and Christmas)
• Cheese experience is not necessary but would be a definite plus!
• Positive attitude and desire to learn
• Okay with working in close quarters
• Desire to provide great hospitality and cultivate friendly relationships with shop regulars

Initial Job Responsibilities:

• Ringing up customers
• Selling cheese- helping customers pick out what they would like, cutting, wrapping. 
• Flipping records/keeping music playing 
• Selling sandwiches
• Sharing knowledge about other items in the shop (wine, housemade breads and crackers, other goodies)
• Cleaning

As things progress, there is opportunity to learn other facets of the business (ecommerce, wholesale, production, baking, etc.) and shift into a more full-time role. 

Brass Tacks:

• Part time job: 10-20 hours a week with room for growth.
• $20/hour
• Start date in September 2024
