  • Job type Full-Time
Company description

JAI Development

JAI Development is an award-winning, Brooklyn-based CPG consultancy. We help emerging and successful brands reach their goals through our product development expertise, operations consulting, and our network of CPG industry professionals. JAI Development is an influential force in the CPG world with accolades at both local and national levels. We are looking for a full time operations assistant to help guide CPG brands toward success.

Our focus is in the natural space. We believe simplicity is key, both in flavor and supply chain. Supporting healthy and sustainable supply chains is not only a plus for our clients who are looking to weave stories of socio-economic (think single-origin coffee from a partner farm in Costa Rica, or a family-owned matcha farm in Japan), but also beneficial for keeping food and beverage traditions alive while maximizing their outreach through CPG.

JAI Development is a lens for which these values can reach the mass market.

Job description JAI Development is seeking an extremely organized individual to join our production operations teams. Our Production Ops team organizes, manages, and executes productions for our CPG clients at our partner production facilities.

Responsibilities for this role include:
  • Communicating with clientele, suppliers, and manufacturers to plan client manufacturing productions across the nation (and world!).
  • Tracking multiple productions at once across a variety of clients.
  • Placing POs and tracking arrivals under strict timelines
  • Learning our Cin7 ERP tracking system to digitally track progress of productions
  • Run reports from said systems to update clients on production outcomes
  • Onsite visits when needed for production facilities.
  • Aiming for perfection by creating systems to triple check work. We are spending clientele money to create their products and we need to be perfect!
  • This can be a remote job, but if candidate is based near Brooklyn, we would setup in office days for easier comms.

Requirements. Jai is looking for the following in our next team member:
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in an operations based position.
  • Experience using an ERP system, Cin7 is a plus
  • Incredibly Organized. This is a job of incredibly detail oriented work that will dictate large sums of client funds for productions and ultimately the success of their company. Everything must be correct always, which means we are constantly showing and checking our work.
  • Positive Attitude
  • Problem-solving Skillset
  • Motivated worker. Initially, this position requires supervision and training but the goal is to develop a team member who's independence in excellent work propels them to high managerial roles within JAI.
  • Dedication. JAI is small team of dedicated people who love what they do. We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping CPG brands succeed by running the driving force of their company; their production!
  • Math. A comfortability with numbers is a must, as we are dealing with ingredient quantities, pricing, unit conversions, and more. We will train you in these areas, but we have found that zero comfortability (or an aversion!) is an impediment to this position. There is a Math test that needs to be passed!
  • Organization. This is on here twice because its the most important aspect. We need someone who will keep track of tasks, understand prioritization of said tasks, efficiently execute tasks, and can communicate all of this directly to our team and to our clients.
If this sounds like you, we'd love to chat! Compensation this position is : hourly, varies DOE, $25.00 - $27.00 Location job can be done remotely Application instructions
