La Quercia Artisan Cured Meats is looking for a sales person to represent our team.

We believe the food we eat can delight us each day.  It is our mission to help make that happen.  Seeking out the best ingredients, produced responsibly, we craft them by hand into something that expresses our appreciation for the beauty and bounty of Iowa.  

Since introducing our prosciutto to critical acclaim in 2005, our offering has expanded to over 30 items made from 7 varietals of pork, each raised with distinctive heritage breeding and humane husbandry practices.  Our meats are available across North America.  In 2011 we introduced 8 new items and have plans to introduce about the same number in 2012.    

The Job
We need this person to: 

• Build sales of new and priority offerings.  
• Develop stronger relationships with retailers, distributors and other trade partners.
• Plan and implement sales and promotional activities.  
• Effectively allocate sales support resources.
• Improve our sales and marketing communications. -Represent the sales perspective on our team.

You  
The ideal applicant will identify closely with our values and mission and have successful sales experience, excellent trade relationships, strong analytical skills, excellent communications skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to plan and prioritize own work.  

Relocation not required.  Extensive travel.
