Summary of Position
- Direct purchasing, warehousing, quality control, and distribution.
- Limit costs and improve accuracy, customer service, and safety.
- Examine existing procedures and identify opportunities to streamline activities to meet product distribution needs.
- Direct the movement, storage, or processing of inventory.
- Manage Warehouse and Driver teams (3-4 people)
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse
- Lead team of 1 to 2 to manage and maintain high performing warehouse
- Develop and manage FIFO system to ensure product moves through efficiently with minimal waste
- Develop a clear system to organize dry goods and packaging materials
- Develop and manage system to fulfill orders with QC/ Checks & Balances (for own stores, wholesale customers, and eCommerce)
- Develop and enforce monthly inventory audits for Warehouse and Stores
- Work with Retail and Wholesale Team to ensure their needs are being met
- Work with Production to forecast monthly flavors and avoid overproduction/excess inventory
- Maintain warehouse facility to food processing and health code requirements
Distribution
- Lead team of 2 drivers
- Develop and manage driver routes and schedules, minimizing OT
- Ensure drivers keep to protocol and provide excellent customer service
- Maintain vehicles to code
Purchasing
- Identify new vendors and work with existing to achieve best costs for ingredients and supplies
- Work with Production to understand needs and help source seasonal ingredients
- Negotiate better terms and volume tiers to improve margins on an ongoing basis
Requirements:
- At least 2 years working in a warehouse environment
- Some experience in food & beverage ideal, but not essential
- Great at multi-tasking and high degree of professionalism - even under stressful situations
- Be physically fit and able to safely life up to 50 lbs
- Good knowledge of excel and familiarity with inventory management software
