Job Description Banded Horn Brewing Company is growing and we are looking for someone to grow with us! This position is for a part-time tasting room and brewery operations employee. The position will be split between working in the tasting room and supporting general brewery operation efforts. The ideal person for this position is enthusiastic, ambitious, professional, interested in a career in the craft beer industry, and in general a purveyor of awesome. As the face of the brewery, the person in this position must be capable of projecting their passion for craft beer culture into the both the tasting room and at large when representing the brewery. 

Position details
Tasting Room (50%):
  • Pour all beers like a champ.
  • Answer questions about the beers and make recommendations with confidence and enthusiasm.
  • Keep the customers satisfied.
  • Complete all opening and closing responsibilities.
  • Maintain a balanced cash register through accurate cash handling and credit card transactions.
  • Active role in event ideas, production, and execution.
  • Educating patrons about beer, styles, and the brewing process as well as the history and culture around craft beer in general.
  • Consistent stocking of kegs, merchandise and packaged product.
  • Rep the brewery.
General Brewery Operations (50%):
  • Packaging.
  • Cleaning.
  • Rep the brewery.
Key Job Skills:
  • Service industry experience (bartending experience a plus).
  • Exceptional communication skills with customers and coworkers.
  • Punctual and reliable.
  • Team player with the ability to work calmly and effectively in stressful situations.
  • Possess a solid knowledge of beer, beer history, brewing, and styles, and/or possess a strong desire to learn more.
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude all of the time.
  • A willingness and ability to take verbal/written direction.
  • Possess basic math skills, along with the ability to handle money and to operate a cash register.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge (Adobe CS a plus).
Requirements:
  • Must be of legal drinking age.
  • Ability to stand on your feet for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift and move kegs weighing upwards of 160 lbs. with assistance of co-worker.
  • Server training certification (TIPS, Cicerone Level 1) or be willing to successfully complete training.
Hours:  Monday-Sunday (15-30 hours per week)
