Job Description SOUVLA IS SEEKING A CULINARY OPERATIONS MANAGER!

Souvla's restaurant group seeks a Culinary Operations Manager to help grow our brand, team and business as we begin to expand beyond our first very busy restaurant to additional locations, catering, mobile units, and new concepts. Souvla's first restaurant is a fine-casual Greek sandwich shop and wine bar in San Francisco's Hayes Valley, featured by the New York Times, as the #1 Food Trend of 2015 by Bon Appetit Magazine, and "Best of the Bay" by SF Magazine.

We're looking for a superstar to grow with us as we embark on some exciting new ventures. We're a fun, hard-working, collaborative team looking for someone we can rely on to help lead our culinary operations across multiple locations and ventures, working hand-in-hand with our Culinary Director to build the business with us.

The Culinary Operations Manager is responsible for all day-to-day kitchen operations of Souvla Hayes Valley, overseeing staff, ensuring guest satisfaction and maintaining essential business functions. This position will collaborate with internal and external partners to accomplish all administrative and operational tasks relating to the successful organization and kitchen operation of the Souvla, Hayes Valley.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 3-5 years of restaurant experience, preferably in a fine dining environment
  • 1 year prior kitchen management or leadership experience
  • Experience with P&L accountability Bachelor’s Degree and /or Culinary degree strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication and organization skills – must have the ability to interact professionally and diplomatically with a variety of business partners
  • Great interpersonal skills - train, coach, and communicate effectively with staff
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability delegate tasks and keep your team motivated
  • Organized with great follow-through
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish is required
