Brooklyn Roasting Company is immediately seeking an outstanding field sales representative with a passion for the specialty coffee industry. This position requires intensive fieldwork – this is not a desk job! Field Sales Representatives at Brooklyn Roasting Company are responsible for maintaining existing business, generating new leads, landing new business, and meeting overall territory sales goals. You will be held accountable for attaining our business goals of revenue, profit, and customer growth within a specific territory. The ideal candidate will have the skills necessary to operate autonomously and creatively while maintaining exceptional communication skills in order to best represent the colorful character of the Brooklyn Roasting Company brand.
Primary Responsibilities:

Organizing daily action plans and territory routes to achieve individual sales goals

Managing territory Accounts Receivable

Managing and responding to new account leads and incoming sales inquiries quickly and effectively

Communicating company’s history and values

Providing outstanding customer service

Participating in training opportunities on products and services and attend weekly sales meetings

Continuously improving coffee knowledge

Providing basic equipment repairs and service troubleshooting (filter changes/gasket changes)

Processing emergency orders and making emergency deliveries
Primary Prerequisites:
-
Previous experience in the specialty coffee industry is strongly preferred

Basic barista skills preferred, but we are willing to train outstanding candidates

Demonstrate strong skills in self-motivation, organization, and problem solving

Willing to get up early to hustle and get a head start on the day (it’s coffee!)

Ability to work both independently and within a team

Outstanding written and communication skills required

Flexible, adaptable, and professional attitude and positive outlook

Strong quantitative and qualitative skills

Must have a valid driver’s license
