Job Description Delaney Chicken, the latest venture from James Beard-Nominated BBQ Master Daniel Delaney, is a modern take on classic southern cuisine, focusing on fried chicken baskets and sandwiches, buttermilk biscuits, and country sides. We plan to produce some of the finest fried chicken this town has ever seen for New York’s famously demanding midtown crowd – if that excites you, you might be a good fit to join our team!

The Assistant General Manager will be a vital part of our organization who will play a huge role in creating Delaney Chicken’s systems, procedures, and culture.  As such, the ideal applicant is highly organized, self-motivated, and driven.  The ability to communicate management vision with staff and guide them to success is also critical.

This person will be responsible for managing line cooks, prep cooks and service staff along with making sure food quality is kept at a high standard. He or she will work closely with our general manager to calculate and expedite food production, oversee the training and retention of staff, and track food and labor costs. 

We ar looking to expand quickly, and so a desire to advance rapidly within a culinary corporate structure is a major plus.

Other Job Requirements:

• At least one year management experience in a high-volume food service environment
• NYS Food Handlers License
• Knowledge of Food and Labor Costing is preferred but not required
• Flexible Schedule, with ability to work nights and weekends where necessary
