Avital Food Tours is looking for a fun and quirky hospitality veteran to take charge of our presence in San Francisco.  This isn’t an office job, it’s a dream job: your main responsibilities include eating at amazing restaurants, meeting new people everyday and developing strong relationships with our restaurant partners, our customers and our family of existing tour guides. 

As our San Francisco Tour Guide & Restaurant Community Captain based in our San Francisco, CA office your mission will be to manage relationships with our existing restaurant partners by eating and drinking out, and cultivating relationships with new venues. You will also learn all of our tours and lead tours weekly, hire and train new tour guides and attend tours to uphold existing standards on our tours. Your success will be dependent upon your ability to build great tour guide and vendor relationships by consistently representing the company professionally.

Our perfect candidate is a people person and a super-extrovert! Your friends think you’re the life of any party and you fascinate people with your brilliant stories. You know how to be a host: you’re an active listener and intuitively know how to make people happy. 

This job doesn’t conform to standard hours and will require night and weekend work, so you’re a night owl - staying in is the definition of boring. You eat out more often than you eat in. 

You can work independently; you don’t need someone looking over your shoulder to get the job done. We have a preference for proven leadership skills. Most importantly, you have strong ties to the San Francisco restaurant industry, you know the major players and what makes it tick. Bonus points if you have hands-on experience as a bartender, server or restaurant manager. 

Avital Tours is a culinary experience company that leads walking Food Tours in the Mission District, Haight Ashbury and North Beach and Cocktail Tours in Union Square. Our tours take guests behind-the-scenes to meet restaurant owners and chefs – while eating their artisan delicacies and drinking delicious libations.
