Bananappeal is a start up baking company based out of San Francisco, CA that specializes in producing ready-to-eat, delicious, and nostalgic banana based frosted cakes and cheesecakes. Bananappeal aims to give bananas the credit they deserve and highlight their flavor and "appeal" through desserts. All products are baked and sold in vintage inspired mason jars and are meant to be enjoyed straight from the jar! Bananappeal does not have a retail storefront. Instead, Bananappeal sells it's products to specialty grocers and caterers as well as direct to consumers through our website. Job Description:
Bananappeal is seeking a production assistant to help launch it's new and innovative brand. This position requires a candidate to be FLEXIBLE as responsibilities will vary day to day. All applicants must have prior professional baking experience and be able to verify former employment from the last three jobs applicant held. This is a full-time, hourly position and applicants should expect to work between 30-40 hours/week.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare and bake products for delivery
• Package and label products
• Organize inventory and place orders with food vendors/suppliers
• Deliver product to Bay area retailers
• Procure/Pick up ingredients from ingredient suppliers

Job Requirements:

• Prior baking experience in a professional kitchen environment
• Spanish speaking skills a plus
• Microsoft Office skills
• Strong sense of professionalism, attention to detail, organization, self-directed initiative, resourcefulness, independence, adaptability, and ability to work independently in a kitchen
• Strong math skills (for recipe conversions)
• Ability to lift/maneuver heavy and large professional equipment
• Clean driving record
