Job description
The American Cheese Society will hold its 28th Annual Conference & Competition in Canada for the first time in its history from July 28 thru August 7, 2011 at the Palais des Congres (Montreal Convention Center). Our event will take place over the course of two weeks, which encompasses the cheese receiving, judging, and our conference with events, educational sessions, tastings, and the like.
With close to 1700 cheeses from Canada, US, and Mexico – there is much preparatory work and planning that goes on. We call upon hundreds of volunteers to help us with this huge undertaking. It is a fun opportunity for cheese lovers to get involved.
Every volunteer receives a volunteer t-shirt and a ticket to our grand finale event, The Festival of Cheese ($85 value), which takes place Saturday August 6, 2011. The Festival features all 1600+ competition cheeses as well as accompaniments like crackers, charcuterie, dried fruits, condiments, beer, wine, etc. Plus, it’s a fun way to be involved with ACS and work with fellow cheese-lovers!
