Job description

Wythe Hotel in Williamsburg, Brooklyn is looking to hire a full time Event Sales Director to oversee all aspects of the hotel’s dynamic events business. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of combined experience in event sales, hospitality, and food and beverage and will be comfortable overseeing a team and handling financial reporting. The candidate will report directly to the hotel partners and will manage a team of 3 sales managers.

Responsibilities
  • Working knowledge of operations
  • Budgeting and profit management
  • Pricing and competitive monitoring
  • Monthly reporting including key performance metrics, lead generation, revenue and operations
  • Maintenance and upkeep of all marketing materials including photography, collateral design, sales materials, website, menus, third party listings, SEO and partnerships
  • Lead weekly team meetings
  • Conduct performance reviews and monitor team progress
  • Interface directly with F&B and Operations teams 
Job Requirements
  • Fluency with financials, budgeting, and costing
  • Self-starter: Candidate must have the desire to drive the business forward
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Motivated, high level of energy and work ethic
  • Fluency with Microsoft Office, Excel, google docs, and online lead program
  • Familiarity with restaurant POS system a plus
  • Knowledge of Williamsburg and ability to represent the neighborhood a plus
  • Candidate must embrace technology
