Job description
This is a full-time position based in New York City. Your focus will be content creation and management across all Reserve markets, working directly with the Director of Content and Communications at HQ, as well as the General Managers and Marketing Managers in each market.This position is based out of our sunny Union Square offices in New York with fun, friendly coworkers.
Your responsibilities will include:
Editorial Strategy

In conjunction with the Director of Content and Communications, help set and shape guidelines for Reserve’s voice, content and brand. Own the creation of guidelines and templates that help keep the Reserve brand focused and consistent across multiple markets.

Develop content strategy for Reserve’s longer-form content, including blog posts and newsletters, including creating and maintaining editorial calendars for content marketing outreach.

Build a deep knowledge of the food and dining space to help identify trends, leadership opportunities and hot-button issues.
Content Creation and Curation

Work closely with partners, advisors and investors to highlight them and share their insights through blog posts, in our newsletter, on our website and across social channels.

Draft, edit and approve descriptions of new restaurant partners, working in conjunction with Restaurant Operations and Marketing Managers to ensure appropriateness.

Create content for a variety of purposes, from sales materials to email blasts to contributed articles, working with the appropriate local or global teams to help advance Reserve’s message.
Social Media Management

Develop and own Reserve’s social media brand strategy and day-to-day activities. You must be able to map out marketing strategy, drive that strategy and Analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results.

Create, curate and manage content (written, images and video) for Reserve’s main Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and other social communities, tailored to each medium and relevant to Reserve’s audience. You will also work with Reserve’s design team on the look and feel of our social sites (ie: Facebook Timeline cover, profile pic, thumbnails, Twitter profile).

Actively engage and respond to members of the community, listening, responding, asking and answering questions across each of these channels. Become an advocate for Reserve in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and escalating or looping in other teammates as appropriate.

Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy to continue to push the envelop forward for Reserve.
About You
We’re looking for a talented, multi-faceted writer who is as adept at writing about business issues as they are skilled at translating a chef’s passion into a description of their food. You are detail-driven, love a good turn of phrase, ask interesting questions and know when to stop. You should have a position on the Oxford comma, own at least one edition of
The Elements of Style and know when to use a semicolon. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, able to make, manage and stick to a schedule, have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be comfortable working in a fluid and dynamic team environment. You’re also excited to provide thoughtful, strategic insight to our product, marketing and technology teams.Required experience/skills include:

A minimum of 3 years experience in journalism or online content production, creating consumer-focused content. Bonus points are given for a focus on food, dining or the restaurant industry.

An active social media presence across multiple channels.

Exceptional attention to detail, a commitment to quality writing, sustained concentration skills and the ability to take initiative to solve complex problems.

Excellent written English and copy editing skills.

An analytical, logical and inquisitive style, married with the ability to be a team player and work well with others to move projects forward in a timely manner.

Experience using a wide variety of content management and publishing tools (Tumblr, Medium, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, HootSuite, etc).

Proven ability to work across many departments to solve problems and achieve results.

The ability to set a schedule and work successfully to meet tight deadlines.

Comfort working in an unstructured and entrepreneurial environment.

Basic knowledge of HTML is also a plus.
