Job description

Farmigo was founded on the principle that locally grown organic food is fresher, healthier, beneficial for the community, and more sustainable for the environment. The question we asked ourselves was, "How can we help make locally grown food more accessible and attractive so that it becomes the obvious choice for the greater population?" Our premise was that if small complementary farms in the same geographic area could collaborate with one another in a simple and efficient way, the food needs of the local community would be met and the farms would continue to develop and prosper.

The Farmigo team set out on a mission to apply its extensive software and Internet expertise to enable farms to work together and provide their produce directly to people in their communities. The Farmigo software provides consumers with an easy way to subscribe to the harvest of a local farm as well as supplement their weekly food needs through the farm's web store. At the same time, our goal is to ensure that farms using our system become highly profitable and sustainable.

THE ROLE


We are looking for someone who to join Farmigo's customer support efforts. Farmigo is a small start-up with a very big dream of improving our food system. Currently, our customers are farms located in the USA. The ideal candidate will manage customer configurations as well as interact directly with farms over the phone to answer their questions.

*Candidates must be based on the East Coast, and be able to work during Eastern hours.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing farm customers through the configuration process (setting up the system)
  • Answering ongoing customer support questions via email and over the phone
  • Identify and implement creative & innovative ways where we can better support our farm customers

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent phone & email communication skills
  • Experience supporting customers
  • Ability and desire to work from a home office
  • Demonstrated ability to perform well in a highly dynamic, rapidly changing environment
  • Creative, resourceful, detail-oriented, highly organized
  • A passion for Farmigo's mission
