Job description
Radish, a specialty prepared foods shop is seeking a General Manager with management experience.The ideal Store Manager will be reliable self-starter, flexible, and who has a passion for providing excellent customer service within the retail environment. The ideal candidate will have an interest in seasonal, local foods, has attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards for excellence in both customer service and in presentation of the storefront.
They will be responsible for managing the whole team, both front of house and back of house, running a smooth and efficient customer storefront and kitchen. We expect the Store Manager to be articulate, well put together, energetic and outgoing. Strong communication is an important aspect of this role, as the Store Manager will need to report on a regular basis to the store owners on the status of the store. He or she must maintain a clean appearance and organized establishment and who will work collaboratively with the rest of the team. In addition, Store Manager must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a calm and collected demeanor, and who has experience managing a restaurant or other type of food operation.
The Store Manager should consider this store their own, taking ownership over it and maintaining flexibility based on the needs of the business.
This position is 5 days a week for Wednesday through Sunday, with Monday and Tuesday as days off. The manager will be responsible for working nights and locking up the store.
Summary of duties and responsibilities:
- Hiring, Training and Managing all front of house staff, keeping staffing within budget
- Maintaining exceptional customer service, handling customer complaints when needed
- Driving events, in-store promotions and marketing campaigns to boost store sales
- Maintaining an exceptionally clean and organized storefront, meeting owners' expectations of visual merchandising and display of prepared food case
- Being vigilant over, and consistently reporting out to owners on store performance
- Proposing and delivering on proposed changes to increasing store efficiencies and boost store sales, where needed
- Maintaining clean and extremely well organized establishment, both in kitchen and in front of house
- Responsible for all front of house ordering and keeping all expenses within a budget
- Counting all cash drawers, closing and locking up the store
- General maintenance and store operations are you full responsibility
Requirements:
- At least 2-4 years experience managing a restaurant or other type of food establishment (both foh and boh)
- Must have food handler's license
- Must have strong references
- Strong employment history that demonstrates longevity and loyalty with past employers.
