Responsibilities:
* Strategically focused on talent and performance management
* Partner with all groups and departments across Blue Bottle to develop hiring and retention programs that can be measured and validated
* Ensure hiring manager and team preparedness for the interview and onboarding process.
* Utilize an online applicant tracking system that performs according to company standards.
* Build diverse, high quality candidate pipelines across the company with a focus on natural behaviors and talents first. * Identify the difference between “great” and “good” when evaluating work experience and performance.
* Generate reports regularly on turn over and retention rates, labor costs, training costs, etc.
* Partner with People Ops business professionals to ensure proper attention is given to labor laws and compliance issues.
* Generate, organize and update job descriptions for all positions.
* Welcome all new employees and guide them through their experience from day 1 to day 365 and beyond.
* Attend specialty coffee community events, seminars and workshops to learn and connect with potential candidates.
* Support the company in any way possible to ensure a successful and fulfilling work experience for everyone.
Qualifications:
* 2 years experience in human resources with a focus on hiring and retention.
* Knowledge of the coffee industry and its communities.
* Proven organizational skills and talents
