Job description
SUMMARY
Our Wholesale Account Managers are strong, committed ambassadors of Mast Brothers Chocolate. They are the primary link between our wholesale partners and our products, processes, and people. As such, Account Managers are expected to make regular local account visits, connect often with non-local customers via phone and email, and to be well-versed in all things Mast Brothers Chocolate. Above all else, they provide superior customer service, education, and support for our wholesale partners. They also love eating and talking about chocolate.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contribute to the achievement of revenue goals by strengthening relationships with our existing accounts and considered expansion into new partnerships.
- Prioritize, schedule, and carry out account visits, contacts, and follow-ups.
- Participate in regular support and educational activities for our wholesale partners, including on-site tastings, staff trainings, and tours of our factory.
- Take part in weekly strategy meetings with the sales team.
- Submit regular reports on sales numbers, account interactions, and follow-ups.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- A true lover of all things food: sharing it, talking about it, learning about it, and eating it with others.
- Proven ability to build and nurture strong relationships with customers, clients, and colleagues.
- Charismatic, outgoing self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Two years of food sales experience.
- Ability to distill large concepts (the chocolate making process, for instance) and communicate about them in a compelling, engaging, and delicious way.
- Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytic and strategic thinking skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks while recognizing and prioritizing the most important ones.
- Detail-oriented and friendly with spreadsheets, reporting, and databases.
