Since building the nation’s first commercial-scale hydroponic urban greenhouse in 2011 Gotham Greens has quickly become a worldwide pioneer in the field of urban agriculture and one of New York State’s leading producers of premium-quality, greenhouse-grown vegetables and herbs. The Company provides its diverse retail, restaurant, and institutional customers with reliable, year-round supply of premium-quality produce grown under the highest standards of food safety and environmental sustainability. Based in Brooklyn, New York, Gotham Greens has built and currently operates two rooftop greenhouse facilities in New York City and is involved in urban greenhouse agriculture projects in cities across the United States and internationally.

Responsibilities:  
 

Sales
  • Manage retail and restaurant accounts 
  • Develop new sales accounts including retail, restaurant and other
  • Provide outstanding customer service   
Marketing and Branding 
  • Create and implement brand marketing strategy and campaigns 
  • Explore brand extension and new product development
  • Create and update marketing materials and website content 
  • Represent Gotham Greens as a brand ambassador including organizing in-store demos   
Public Relations, Media, and Social Media 
  • Create and manage content and strategy for social media outlets 
  • Write Press Releases and internet mailings 
  • Handle PR/media inquiries 
  • Coordinate media opportunities and special events
  • Manage company communication

Qualifications:  
  • Bachelor’s Degree 
  • 3-5 years of relevant (specialty food, agriculture) related experience in sales, customer service, marketing and branding 
  • Excellent verbal, written, copywriting and interpersonal skills 
  • High attention to detail 
  • Creative flair and lively personality 
  • Passionate commitment to company vision 
  • Appreciation to principles of sustainable agriculture and food 
  • Knowledge of MS Office, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, or similar
