Bonfiglio & Bread Bakery is seeking to fill a new position of overnight baker for our rapidly expanding wholesale bread program.
Our bakery is a ground up operation: starting as home bakers we have built a small yet very popular and successful small batch hearth bread/pastry/cafe in the new food destination of Hudson, NY. Located in the northern Hudson Valley, the city offers the much heralded bounty of the area farms & food craftsmen, supported by the ever increasing numbers of vacationers, foodies, second-home-owners & artists.
Our establishment prides itself on our relationship with local purveyors & clients. We use local grains, vegetables, meats & herbs in our daily production, which gives our product the quality & consistency we are known for by our loyal customers.
This position will entail working late evenings into early mornings preparing the bread for wholesale & retail. The right applicant will have professional bakery experience in shaping, scoring & baking, and possess the ability to work independently. Baking is not a static procedure: the applicant should be able to problem solve to maintain quality & numbers necessary to complete orders in a timely manner, while working within the confines of a small bakery space. We are seeking someone enthusiastic about food & the baking world and great ingredients.
