THE ORGANIZATION
In 1996, Alice Waters, pioneering cook, restaurateur, and food activist, created the Chez Panisse Foundation in commemoration of the twenty-fifth anniversary of her restaurant, Chez Panisse, in Berkeley, California. The Foundation supports an educational program that uses food to nurture, educate, and empower youth.

THE POSITION
Chez Panisse Foundation’s Communications team is looking for a social media intern to assist in the implementation of a major fundraising and public education campaign. 

REQUIREMENTS

• Fluency in the various social media tools including facebook and twitter
• The ability to think strategically and operate effectively under tight deadlines. 
• Excellent oral and written skills, as well as a keen editorial eye, are essential. 
• Additional experience with flip camera and YouTube is preferred

DETAILS

• Time Commitment: 5 hours per day M-F, for a minimum of 3 months
• Start date: late March
• The role is under the supervision of the communcations director, working together with Founder Alice Waters, Chez Panisse Restaurant and the Edible Schoolyard network.
