About Us

My name is Nils and I run Brooklyn Butcher Blocks.  We are a small (currently 2 person) operation specializing in wooden kitchenware, in particular cutting boards, butcher blocks, and counter tops.  We also make knife racks, sushi boards, and are designing a knife rack and a wooden beer mug.  There's a long list of things still to make, but I digress.  

About The Job

We're in production mode and we need someone to sand and do the finishing work on the boards.  As we move into January, you'll be introduced into the earlier stages of production, like jointing and planing. Additionally, you'll be helping design and create jigs to make the shop more efficient.  Storage units as well.

It's ideal if we get someone who can work well into December.  Preferably to the 22nd.

Pay is 10/hr.  While experience is not required, it is a plus if you've had experience with basic jointery and have demonstrated competence doing such tasks.
