Job description

Established, state-wide, quarterly publication with increasing readership, subscription and advertiser base, seeks motivated person to assume publishing rights and responsibilities. The magazine has a well-founded publishing infrastructure with an excellent reputation, and loads of goodwill among local farms, chefs, restaurants, and specialty food businesses.

THE PUBLICATION
This vivid publication explores the farmers, food, artisans and culinary wonders within our communities that make eating local an everyday pleasure. We showcase everything from roadside farm stands to award-winning wineries; from community gardens to decadent confections.

This publication encourages readers to consider the basic facts of where food comes from. By eating locally, we help to sustain the small family farms that produce healthy foods with fullness of taste, and provide for a safer food supply.

Serving all 10 counties throughout the state, the publication follows our seasonal calendar: four times each year, finds and stories about farmers, chefs and local food artisans entice both readers and advertisers. Gorgeous color photography featuring food and landscape puts life on pages full of culinary interest and events.

THE OPPORTUNITY
Included in the License transfer:
  • Goodwill - first and foremost of value are the relationships, partnerships, and network of community, business, agricultural, state, academic, and health care contacts throughout New Hampshire. This goodwill is the largest value-added resource that accompanies the license.
  • NH's EDIBLE magazine is well-established with a loyal following of readers, advertisers, and subscribers. People eagerly anticipate each issue!
  • Current publisher participation and efforts in introducing and accompanying a new publisher to advertisers, key players affiliated with interest in the publication, writers, designers, and fellow Edible publishers, along with mapping and directions around the state.
  • Updated Excel files of advertisers, potential advertisers, subscribers, and magazine distribution locations
