Job description
Farm Fresh To You is a family owned, organic farm that is seeking a Farmer's Market Manager. This position, within our sales department, manages the sales and profitability of 14 Farmer's Markets throughout California.
Duties and Responsibilities Include:

Designs and implements initiatives for markets that fit larger company goals (food safety, merchandising, etc.).

Tracks metrics at markets (profits, sales, etc.), reports them regularly.

Creates a budget for markets department, tracks costs and designs/implements cost-reduction strategies.

Develops rubric for and conducts evaluation of employees.

Interviews and hires new employees.

Sets retail price for commodities at markets.

Determines what available commodities to assign to markets, and what potential future product should be grown.

Schedules staffing at markets.

Trains staff.
-
Uses company software to create and track sales orders.

Determines profitability potential of new markets, arranges participation for new markets.

Liaisons with farm about product availability for markets.

Represents farm at farmers markets, local agricultural/sustainability events.

Assigns responsibilities to various job descriptions/employees to fulfill needs of markets department.

Creates and modifies protocol for loading/display setup/unloading/warehouse organization as it pertains to farmers markets.

Generates POS material or other collateral for markets.

Presents updates to supervisors about role of farmers markets within Capay, Inc.

Must be able to get along with and work effectively with others.

Regular and predictable attendance is required.
Qualifications Include:

Demonstrated interest in local, organic produce and sustainable agriculture.

Four year degree from an accredited college or university with four to six years related experience (or combination of education and experience).

Clean driving record and current California Driver's License with proof of insurance and/or insurability.
This position is salaried, working week is Thursday-Monday. This position is based in San Bruno, with Thursdays spent in West Sacramento. Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
