Job description

Casellula Cheese & Wine Café is looking for a Fromager to lead our team of cheese professionals and be responsible for our constantly changing list of world-class cheeses. You must have a passion for cheese, be hard-working, calm under pressure, organized, diligent, creative, friendly, and willing to work until 2 am.

Primary responsibilities are:
Research, select and order cheeses as needed
Receive, store and curate cheese inventory
Process invoices and keep track of food costs
Create, maintain, and update the cheese menu and condiment list
Educate staff on cheeses and condiment pairings
Work with the chefs to research, taste and choose condiment pairings
Clean and maintain all related equipment and cheese areas
Plate and serve cheese during dinner service and discuss cheeses with guests
Support the service staff as needed

The Fromager post is full-time. Cheese shifts are 2-3 nights weekly (about 20-30 hrs). Additional duties add 10-20 hours per week.

Cheese knowledge and experience are preferred, but are not a requirement.
Restaurant experience is also preferred, but is not a requirement.
Basic Excel, Word and other computer skills are a plus.
