Job description

We are hiring a full-time Farm Manager on our seasonal, grass-based dairy in southwest Wisconsin, where we milk 150 cows to supply our on-farm cheesemaking operation.

Ultimately, the Farm Manager will be responsible for dairy cows and young stock, 300 acres of rotationally grazed pasture and several employees, and will work closely with the cheesemaker to produce the highest quality milk.

The job begins this winter, working alongside the existing Manager for an hourly wage during a year-long transition period.  At the start of 2014, when the new Manager assumes responsibility for farm operations, annual compensation plus performance bonuses will be $60-90k.
