Seeking Marketing Manager Play a Key Role in Finding Some of the Future’s Most Distinguished Chefs, Pastry Chefs, Restaurateurs, and Sommeliers

The International Culinary Center (founded at The French Culinary Institute in 1984) is the most respected culinary training facility in North America, leading the way in food and wine education.  We have schools in New York City, California, and Italy. Many of the world’s top chefs trace their successful roots back to our training. In every major city in this country, our talented graduates can be found in the kitchens of top restaurants. Our founder, Dorothy Cann Hamilton, is a respected culinary educator and best-selling author. We’re an exceptional organization where everyone loves what they do—and loves the students we do it for!  This is your opportunity to become a key player in The International Culinary Center’s Marketing team, responsible for promoting The Center through all external and internal mediums to generate leads, enrollments and increase visibility in the marketplace.  We are seeking a new team member to assist in our overall mission of promoting our world-class institution. 


General duties include:  The Marketing Manager will work closely with the Senior Marketing Director to develop and execute marketing programs for all of The Center’s multiple courses and brands across all mediums and perform duties as outlined below:

Development, production, distribution and analysis of all marketing programs for all of The Center’s multiple courses and brands across all mediums including online content, print, collateral, TV, videos, social, signage.

*Manage the creative agency and relevant creative partners to develop effective content from conception through final deliverable. Assist in any new programs that increase the number of leads obtained by the school, which could include new sponsorships, partnerships, relationships with alum, and/or advertising opportunities. 

-Constantly seek, be aware of, and take advantage of opportunities that will generate leads and help

-The ICC meet established business goals and objectives. 

-Ensure the defined look and feel and brand image is adhered to across all marketing content and deliverables. 

-Help to guide and supervise Assistant Marketing Manager. 

- Manage the student catalog process with the Student Services Department and the printer.

-Assist in the distribution process with Premier. 

-Assist in all Book Division needs – shoot schedules, organization with the writer, publisher, culinary staff, etc.

-Work with Assistant Marketing Manager on Open House events including strategy, execution and materials. 

-Assist in managing media partners who purchase online media and broadcast. Assist in advertising research (newspapers, print ads, brochures, etc.) and their respective media buys – such as print, TV, radio, outdoor to speak to existing and new targets. Negotiate and secure placement with agreed upon sources, to obtain the best possible rate, placement and inventory. 

-Manage Assistant Marketing Manager in overseeing the general look of the facilities as it relates to branding, developing new signage when and where appropriate. 

-Manage day to day relationships with marketing team vendors – printers, agencies, alum, etc.

-Other responsibilities as designated by the Senior Marketing Director


Skills:
At least five years experience in advertising  or marketing Project Management experience

Experience on brands including food service, hospitality, luxury and education a plus

Relationships in the advertising and media community a plus

Excellent ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to manage creative processes in all mediums

Strong oral and written communication skills

Well organized Highly motivated and proactive

Efficient and able to work independently but also as part of a team

Flexible and ability to adjust to shifting priorities
