FARM
Our animals are raised on our ten thousand acre farm in Northern California's Shasta Valley, where we approach our land management from a holistic perspective. We strive to maximize the health of our pastures, which in turn supports the health of the animals that roam and graze there.  Our animal production includes pastured and free-range beef cattle, pork, lamb, goat, turkey, rabbit, chicken, duck, quail, pheasant and squab.  

BUTCHERY
Belcampo Butchery is opening this fall in Yreka, California to assure humane handling and slaughter for our animals. Just fifteen minutes from our farm, the eight thousand square foot facility will process all our animals in addition to providing custom slaughter and processing for the area's local farmers and ranchers.  

MEAT CO.
Opening late October in Marin Country Mart in Larkspur, CA, Belcampo Meat Co. will be a modern day butcher shop and restaurant utilizing the best of old-fashioned meat and butchery traditions. We will work whole animals and showcase products and techniques that let none of the good stuff go to waste.  Customers will be able to try our products in-store at our casual, meat-focused restaurant.  We intend to open three additional stores in the next 18 months in Northern and Southern California.

Responsibilities include:
  • All purchasing and ordering (kitchen and butcher counter orders will come via managers of those departments)
  • Manage grocery, office and cleaning inventory and purchasing
  • Hire and manage front of house staff (servers, runners, cashiers)
  • Assist with training program 
  • Front of house scheduling and oversight of master schedule (aggregate of all departments)
  • Assure highest level of customer service, including fielding/handling customer complaints and questions as required
  • Strive to communicate Belcampo mission statement to customers and employees
  • Store P&L oversight and management including adjusting buying to meet sales figures, managing/interpreting loss, etc.; work with Belcampo Inc to refine future budgets and assess financial performance
  • Adherence to health and safety regulations; enforcement of safe in-store practices
  • Daily register reconciliation and cash deposits
  • Weekly staff meetings
  • Coordinate Meat Co newsletter submissions
  • Weekly reporting to Belcampo Group manager (sales, customer and staff feedback, inventory, etc.)
  • Implement and maintain in-store marketing and messaging
  • Store maintenance including fix-its, cleanliness, IT issues, etc.
  • Administer in-store payroll 
Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years in retail management (food service/retail a plus)
  • Good working knowledge of Excel
  • Experience with retail P&L’s
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented
  • Great interpersonal and customer relationship skills High energy
  • Passionate about food, farming and food education Excellent problem solving skills
  • Positive attitude and ability to pitch in wherever needed an absolute necessity
