Butter + Love is an up-and-coming baking company based in Brooklyn, New York specializing in inventive, delicious, beautiful, and down-right addictive baked treats. We're looking for someone to join the B+L Team!

The job would start out as a brief internship/apprecticeship, and should we find it a good fit on both sides, we'll bring you on board to help us make some cookies. The job itself would involve: Assisting in the process of baking our many menu items for wholesale and retail sales, which would include prepping ingredients, mixing, cutting out cookies, baking, assembling, and packaging. *Experience in cookie decorating a plus.

This position also calls for some non-baking assistant work such as organizing supplies/ingredients, taking inventory, helping with wholesale/retail orders, shipping, getting all of that down in Word and/or Excel, etc. We're a fairly new company and we're building our core group of people, so this is a great opportunity to get on the ground floor of something great!

We're looking for someone who will be a good fit for the team, which is to say someone who is most or all of the following: creative, organized, hard-working, positive, responsible, willing to take initiative, someone who likes food (and really likes cookies!), someone who is detail oriented, takes pride in their work, thinks food should look as good as it tastes, doesn't mind getting flour or blackberry preserves all over themselves, and someone who is a team-player. 

Although we are looking for an experienced baker, we've found that years spent baking cookies with your mom or grandmother can be just as good as going to pastry school, so keep that in mind.

If you already have your New York State Food Handler's License, that's also a plus. (If so, please mention that in your email inquiry.) If not, that's okay, but if we hire you, we'll probably ask you to get it ASAP.

4 month minimum commitment upon hiring.
