MidwestRoots (mwroots.com) is a Chicago-based firm that works with artisans to sell and support their products in stores across the country.  We partner with great clients who make awesome, delicious, beautifully packaged products.  

We are seeking a high-energy, enthusiastic, organized, customer oriented and motivated individual to help sell our clients’ products and grow their businesses.  The successful candidate will work to gain new wholesale accounts and manage existing store relationships.  

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Research high quality potential stores in select geographic areas
  • Familiarize yourself with our client list, product offerings and pricing
  • Initial Sales Contact – Initiate contact, liaise with clients to get samples sent
  • Follow up on samples and record feedback
  • Take orders, introduce new product lines, creatively optimize and manage each store relationship  

Requirements:
  • A passion for great food and specialty/cheese stores
  • Great communication skills
  • Creative thinker
  • Openness and willingness to learn, provide input, work as part of a team, and be a part of a small and growing business
  • 4+ years of work experience in a field related to food, hospitality, marketing, PR, sales or other.
