Perhaps you are wondering, just what is Slideluck Potshow? Slideluck Potshow (SLPS) is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to building and strengthening community through food and art. SLPS operates multimedia slideshows combined with potluck dinners in about forty cities around the world. Slideluck Potshow is a mash-up of a slideshow and a potluck and mixing things up is an essential component of our work. Slideluck Potshow brings together diverse groups of people, artwork, food, and perspectives under one roof. Each event is localized in that artists from a community present work to that community. The work of established artists is shown alongside that of emerging and non-professional artists.

SLPS celebrates physically bringing people together in one space and we work hard to maintain the relationships that begin at our events. With a few exceptions, all of the work that is presented is archived on our website. That means that once an artist shows work with us they automatically become a part of our larger, global community. And that's where you come in: Slideluck Potshow seeks a dynamic and organized individual to join the team as our Web Content and Social Media Manager. The Web Content and Social Media Manager, or web master will be involved in all things web at Slideluck Potshow.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Web Content and Social Media Manger is responsible for overseeing Slideluck Potshow's website and social media.

Website

Slideluck Potshow's website acts as the archive of our events. After each event, the web master is responsible for compiling the individual components (artists' work, event information, event photos, etc) and archiving them on the site in a timely fashion. It is crucial that the web master be organized and able to coordinate with multiple team members, often across time zones.

Social Media

The web master is responsible for managing our two primary social media platforms (Facebook and Twitter) and growing our audience. The web master collects relevantcontent for our social media outlets and programs posts throughout the week. The web master must achieve a balance between promoting Slideluck Potshow events and initiatives and content from/for our global community.

QUALIFICATIONS

Who we're looking for:

• A dynamic, enthusiastic individual with demonstrated passion for pursuing a career in arts administration, community development, or the not-for-profit sector
• A self-starter who is capable of working alone on projects or accepting direction from team members
• A person with keen attention to detail and vast experience with digital file management

Requirements

• Experience with Joomla! content management system
• Experience managing social media platforms (Facebook and Twitter) and tested ability to grow social media audience
• Exceptional computer skills (Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office)
• Ability to juggle a variety of responsibilities and work with other team members both locally and internationally
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
