Who We Are:  Ploughshare Farm is an organic vegetable farm located on 160 acres near Alexandria, MN. We market through our 375 member CSA (Community Support Agriculture) and food coops throughout the metro area. 

Our Farm Cook will prepare lunches for our farm crew of farm 10-12  Tuesday through Thursday plus Saturdays. This will require preparing a weekly menu based upon the vegetables and meats raised on our farm. It's an exciting opportunity for anyone starting out in a culinary field to have access to such a wide array of diverse, quality produce.  The chef will also be in charge of general kitchen clean up from day’s lunch.

Approximately 4 hours of work a day. Compensation: $5.25/ hour plus housing, lunch meals and additional farm produce.
 
In addition, starting in late June we also have a position on our blanching/freezing crew for our frozen shares.  These frozen shares were featured on the NPR show, "The Splendid Table."  This opportunity will give the chef an additional 20-40 hours/week(depending on the season).
