EVERY DAY FOR THE PAST FEW MONTHS . . .
we've spent upwards of an hour toiling away at our gardens. We began in late March: setting up the grow lights, starting seeds, watering and whispering to them as they started to grow. With the warm weather in full bloom, we've built beds, transplanted and trellised. Even after a long day of physically or mentally taxing work, we'll venture outside in the evening hours before sunset and putter around, soaking up the glory of potential in each growing plant.
I am sure if we added up all of the hours we spend on our gardens, we'd be surprised. If you told us at the beginning of the season we'd invest that much time and energy into one thing, it might sound overwhelming, or impossible. We might not necessarily make the time to do it. But, inevitably, it becomes the best part of our day.
That's how we know this week's Words of Wisdom are true. When you work as if you don't need the money, the rewards are far better than anything money could buy.
We hope this email finds you with 'work' that is rewarding. It's what makes each day a pleasure to experience.
Cheers,
Taylor & Dorothy

PS In case taking photographs falls into the category of 'work' for you, check out our GFJ RFP (Request for Photographs). We're eager to share your work in a way that helps bring the GFJ community together.

We've updated our Post a Job form (and our search filters) to include salary / hourly pay ranges, and the ability to tag jobs where an employer is willing to sponsor an international employee.
Change can be hard. If you have any comments or feedback, please chime in - especially if you see any (unintentional) glitches. We are so appreciative.
We're currently working on our homepage redesign. If you have any requests, suggestions, or constructive criticism, please don't hesitate to let us know.
