WHEN NOTHING IS CERTAIN . . .

anything is possible.

This week's words of wisdom took on a whole new meaning. We must admit that the election results have us feeling somewhat numb. But regardless of who became president-elect, we feel pretty certain that our message today would be the same:

• the fate of our communities lies in our collective abilities to support each other and contribute in meaningful ways, and
• we all have a deep need to feel connected

It's clear that the our culture and our communities will not be soothed by media coverage or conversations on the internet. The moments when we've felt most connected this week involved random acts of kindness with strangers, hugs from neighbors, and moments of levity with our families. In times where there are great divides, the best strides will come in breaking bread around the table. In sharing a beer. In working toward something together.

Our hope is that everyone will continue to stand up for what they believe in. That you'll continue to engage in discourse with those that have differing opinions. That you will employ the golden rule and treat others how you hope to be treated. See our 'we want to hear from you' section below for a prompt on how you plan to contribute.
