WHAT IS AMERICAN FOOD?
To continue along with our American Heirloom Project coverage Gina delves into a seemingly simple question with a not so simple answer. Her visual summary is just about the best gift that we could ask for this holiday season. We hope you'll pass it on to others who need its quick but satisfying nourishment.
A little taste . . .
It’s people who lovingly shepherd the traditions of their ancestors forth—whether immigrant or native. It’s creating new traditions in the wake of lost history. It’s adapting old ways to meet modern needs of our bodies, our environment, our tastes. It’s using food as a tool to fight injustice and offer opportunity.
What is your definition of American food?
Many cheers,
Taylor + Dorothy + GINA*
