SOMETIMES WE REALLY DO WISH . . .
that the 'time out' feature in Saved By The Bell was a real thing. It seems as though we spend the cold and dark days of winter dreaming of the warmth of the sun, only to reach mid-July in desperate search of refuge from the sweltering heat. The days and schedules are packed - with work, weddings, events, etc. - leaving less opportunity than we'd like to be at one with the rhythms of nature.
Add to that the strange / horrific / complex / confusing happenings in the world, and it's easy to feel a constant state of overwhelm. Who wouldn't want to press the time out button? To take some time and energy to rest, grieve, and make sense of the world and the creatures that inhabit it.
But life is like riding a bicycle. In order to keep balance you must keep moving. Just be sure to go at a gentle speed sometimes. Let the bike coast. Take in the surroundings. And be kind to those that are sharing the road.
Here's to finding balance,
Taylor & Dorothy
