IN THIS SEASON OF EXTREMES . . .
we're trying to find balance. It can be abundant, but exhausting. Relaxing, yet intense. Lush, and overwhelming. This past week, we managed to follow through on one promise to ourselves: celebrate the season with mother nature. It's hard to break away from the computer (and / or pocket computer) - but it's always worthwhile. Dorothy found herself afar on a family road trip through the National Parks in Wyoming, returning home in time to harvest garlic from her backyard. Taylor went North on a work excursion to coastal Maine, and joined in the sour cherry harvest back home.
These experiences both near and far remind us that the world is so much bigger than what comes across our day-to-day consciousness. It takes our breath away to consider how all of this can exist at once. No matter what fleeting crushes pique our interest, it seems that observing the natural world has a grounding impact - one that helps to continually remind us of the real work that needs to be done - both personally and professionally.
To celebrating and preserving the miracles of life,
Taylor & Dorothy
