TWO DAYS PER WEEK . . .
my schedule is such that I find myself driving down the same stretch of road at roughly the same time. When I do, I always notice an older gentleman walking that same stretch. He always waves to every car.
I don't know this man, and I rarely think of him outside the context of that interaction. These details make it even more surprising how much it brightens my spirit when I pass him.
When you stop and notice, there are many other strangers that make our day, be it the gentleman who sits on the stoop at the corner, or the woman who always works the register at the general store. At first, you might not recognize them as part of your everyday interactions, but if you pay attention, you'll see that they are part of the fabric of your life.
Here's to practicing gratitude for the strangers in our lives who brighten our days, so that you might see the opportunity to brighten someone else's.

tidbits...
what we’re reading / listening to / watching / noticing / thinking about / captivated by this Tuesday…
While we're not huge on obligatory gift giving, we can't help but think how much of any impact it would have on the world if this was the default gift that people gave.
Just made a little road trip, which means we have a small podcast roundup: Dolly Parton's America, Food Actually, and Finding Fred all won our hearts on this round.
got a tidbit? drop it here for us, and you just might see it in next week's newsletter.
