NICE THINGS PEOPLE SAY
I am so impressed with your enthusiasm and dedication to good food! I could keep writing you for hours explaining how much of a treasure your work is to me but I am sure you have more people to inspire and get jazzed up about the importance of good, just, sustainable, fair food production and consumption. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Another year. This marks our third Thanksgiving with GFJ. We can hardly believe how quickly time passes by. It's a reminder to stop, reflect, and appreciate.
It's hard not to get wrapped up in the whirlwind of 'the holidays', but we hope you'll use this time to take a mental inventory of everything that makes up your life. Think about the things that are great, and pause to appreciate them. And consider the things that you'd like to improve, and make positive steps to do so. While the rest of the world is caught up in the festivities, you can be plugging away at improving or making the most of your skills, and hit the ground running come the new year. Everyone else will be stuck in a holiday haze and you will be well on your way to making 2014 your best year yet.
In case you're looking for inspiration, don't forget about our November GFJ Instagram Challenge. 'Tis the season for pie baking. And let's be honest, you'll be baking (and eating) them anyway, so why not snap a pic? Tag your homemade pie pictures with #thanksGFJ for a chance to win the new cookbook from Brooklyn-based pie shop Four and Twenty Blackbirds. The photo with the most Instagram likes by 8am on Tuesday, December 3rd, will get to crack the spine on those coveted recipes! As of now @pieceoflovepastries is the pie to beat!
A joyous and delicious thanksgiving to you all. We hope for everyone to have a just-full-enough plate, good people with whom to share the holiday, and ample opportunity to make positive contributions in the world.
Cheers,
Taylor & Dorothy
