The end of this week brings the summer solstice on Friday, June 21st. The longest day of the year reminds us of our desire to be outside, away from our screens, soaking up the sun, getting our hands dirty in the soil, and cooling off / cleaning up with the ever warming waters of a lake, stream, ocean, or hose / fire hydrant / sprinkler.*
This time of year also signals the pouring forth of a bounty of farm fresh food. Keep your eyes peeled for it, and submit your Instagram photos with the tags @goodfoodjobs and #farmfreshGFJ. The person with the most like as of next Tuesday, June 25th, at 8 AM wins their own GFJ tote to carry their treasures home from the farmers' market this summer.
*But fear not, we are still on top of all those notes we've been getting re: recent website updates (and glitches)! We'll fight the solar flares off of our shiny laptop screens for hours to get to the bottom of the problem. It's the least we can do to say thanks for your loyal following - we wouldn't be the same without you!
Happy Summer,
Taylor & Dorothy
