COURAGE IS LIKE A MUSCLE . . .
we strengthen it by use.
We've been reading Julia Turshen's Feed the Resistance this past week. While the initial motivation for the book may have been the 2016 presidential election, the book encapsulates and highlights the need for ongoing resistance - or, more accurately, participation.
The world is (and will likely continue to be) full of situations that demand your time and energy. These include, but are not limited to, all sorts of oppression: injustices (against people and/or the environment), disasters (natural and man-made), economic, political, and social imbalances or abuses of power.
No one person can tackle every single area that speaks to them, which is why we appreciate two of the main messages that come early in the book: 1) don't do everything, do something, and 2) utilize your strengths and interests (in this case: food).
The first 10 people to respond the 'we want to hear from you' question below (pssst: it's just below the words of wisdom / instagram feature) will get a copy of Feed The Resistance. Just be sure to include your address in your email.
To strengthening your courage muscle,
Taylor & Dorothy
