AND SUDDENLY IT APPEARS . . .
Spring. Real Spring. Warming temperatures. The feeling of the sun on your face. And green all over. Although it felt like a slow start in these parts, it reminds us of this week's words of wisdom - if you can walk, you can dance; if you can talk, you can sing. It might take a little while (and it might not mean you can dance and sing well) but it's possible.
This advice rings especially true for us as we develop an implement new features and resources online at GFJ. Your feedback is priceless, and it's our honor - and at times our struggle - to incorporate it into tools that will translate into real value for your own livelihoods.
This week, direct (or not so direct, if you consider the time it took to process, design and implement) from your mouths, we've included the option for employers to designate whether or not they are willing to sponsor a work visa for international applicants to their job opening (it's also a new search filter on the Find a Job page, but you'll notice that the pickings are slim, so far! It will take time for this new option to get put to use).
We've also dug deeper into the Compensation area of each job post, and added the ability to specify a salaried or hourly range, so that applicants and employers can better align their expectations, and hopefully save time and energy on both sides.
Whether you're basking in sunshine, or the glow of your computer screen, we hope that you capture this spirit and enjoy the energy that the new season brings. We know it helps propel us just when we need it, just like your presence in the community here at GFJ.
Cheers,
Taylor & Dorothy
