IN A GENTLE WAY . . . you can shake the world.
We live in media saturated world that often rewards the absurd, bombastic, and over-the-top. Sometimes it can make us feel that if we're not making a HUGE shift all at once, then we're not succeeding.
We are here to continually celebrate the small victories - or, even better, the small efforts.
This weekend we are hosting over a dozen GFJ users at a 4-day course in the Catskills. The subject matter is near and dear to us. While many people think that a 'food job' must solely revolve around food, this course covers everything but the kitchen. While we delve into the worlds of waste water, seeds, renewable energy, and compost, we are hopeful that this small group will take their findings back home with them, and share the reality that our collective work in food is about so much more than the food itself.
In a gentle way, we can all shake the world, and shape the world into one that is more kind, forgiving, and thoughtful - to other people and to the land upon which we are all lucky enough to live.
Cheers,
Taylor & Dorothy

If you haven't noticed yet (ahem) we enhanced our registration process by asking new users for more information about themselves. We're offering the same questionnaire to existing users when you log in. We appreciate your sharing so that we can better understand our audience and create ever more useful tools for you. (Psst! Only 5% have shared so far. Fill out your questionnaire today and help us paint a better picture of the GFJ community.)
We've got a lot more in the pipeline, including a revised Post a Job page with lots of new features, a new and improved My Account section of the site, and a completely revamped mobile site. We hope these improvements will make GFJ easier and more delightful to use than ever.
our job search engine is a work in progress. do you have a recommendation? constructive criticism? or have you noticed a glitch? let us know. we're improving every day.
