IT BEARS REPEATING.
You may notice that we sing this same tune over and over again (mainly because we often need the reminder, ourselves): It's important to power down at regular intervals. Technology is not unlike the system of energy in our own bodies - it tells you when it's had enough. Have you noticed that if you leave your computer open for days on end, with dozens of tabs open, eventually it starts running slower, and may even freeze up and shut down? Why should we be any different?
It's a busy time of year, when no matter how many things you cross off your To Do list, the list keeps growing. Try adding a weekly day of rest into that same list. Make the plan for that day to have no plans. It may feel strange at first, like you have to get back into the habit of not doing. But if you can manage the discomfort long enough, that's when the magic happens. When we power down, we are able to fire up.
Rest. Relax. Rejuvenate. Repeat at regular intervals.
